Automotive Strapping

ACW’s automotive straps are manufactured using diverse high-performance materials, including nylon, polyester, polypropylene, elastics, and specialty fibers like Kevlar®.

Each material is selected for unique applications:

Nylon Webbing

Highly valued for assembly aids, seat mechanisms, and restraint systems thanks to its strong break strength and excellent abrasion resistance. Ideal for applications needing slight elasticity while undergoing repeated stress cycles.

Elastic Webbing

Employed for trunk nets, cargo nets, pet assemblies, and flexible retention within vehicle interiors. Variable stretch characteristics accommodate diverse automotive interior solutions.

Polypropylene Webbing

Its light weight and resistance to water and chemicals makes it preferred for trunk/cargo securing, light loads, covers and linings.

Polyester Webbing

Often specified for tie-downs, towing, and vehicle transport due to minimal stretch, high strength, and superior resistance to moisture and UV degradation. Polyester is the preferred choice for tow straps, grab handles, restraints, hardnesses, and exterior components regularly exposed to the weathering and the elements.

Kevlar® and Aramid Straps

Used in high-temperature or high-stress environments requiring flame and heat resistance, such as engine compartment bundling, battery retention, and components subject to chemical exposure.
